Health Care


Ensuring access to health care that is responsive to the needs of the people. 

  • Including ensuring that there are always two fully functioning Hospitals in the City.

  • Increase funding for an increase of Neighborhood / Store front Health Centers that can meet the health needs of the unique neighborhoods in the City.

  • Expanding the funding for the Department of Health and preventative strategies to make our City Healthier. 

  • Advocating Health Servicing organizations to consider hours of operations to include late nights and extended weekend hours to better serve working families in the City.

  • Pass Resolution and local legislation improving the quality of Black Maternal Health Initiatives in the City.


Blight & Environment


Waterbury must lead in sustainability by:

  • Expanding renewable energy and modernizing infrastructure in the City.

  • Investing in green initiatives and urban agriculture including Forestry. Passing updated ordinances on tree removal.

  • Creating more green spaces in the City. 

  • Protecting Waterbury’s natural resources and water

    ways (rivers, lakes, reservoirs).

  • Decommissioning or Restoring Rolling Mill Playground either as a Park or giving the residents an alternative park following federal guidelines.

  • Passing a Dead Beat Landlord Ordinances that strengthen and expedite the eminent domain process in the City for absentee and out of state landlords. (Commercial and Residential).
