Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform

We advocate for:

• Funding the Police Department to reinstate neighborhood police precincts.

• Support for first responders and public safety measures. While strengthening legislative oversite and accountability

  to the Police and Fire Departments.

• Expand the number of Police Commissioners to include one representative from each Aldermanic District.

• Increase funding for Waterbury Animal Control and T.N.R. programs throughout the City.

• Review Traffic Enforcement and Response Times in the City and investigate ways to improve them. 

Gun Violence Prevention

We support common-sense gun laws and violence prevention programs to keep our communities safe.

• Ensuring the enforcement of Connecticut General Statue in the City around state gun control laws.
